**breaking this vicious cycle**
we are living in a world of vicious cycle
we never learn and we may never will
who would have known there will be a day where we will shut ourselves in the house
just to survive a horrific pandemic that took many live
in this period of time, i have seen many news about the world is healing
wild life is once again enrich, although there are a number of bush fire happen here and there
but it is healing but soon enough, people will be out again and mess with the world...
somehow it has grown to a custom for me
if we can work from home now why not in the future
i believe thing will go back to usual but i dont want it go back to usual ONLY
BUT WITH CHANGES
i have never felt work life balance but now i really do
i can read, i can workout, i can spend more time with my family, although i miss my friend~(haha*)
my director talk about the need of workplace, she felt there might no longer a need but a good to have instead
i know people would still wanted an office, because come to think about it,
each place we set up it is a stage, for performance for purpose, we design a space for purpose but now space are made because of competition, new building is up because of GDP, condominium is the fastest estate to earn big money, government selling land to allow more money for the governor to buy more sxxxx, leaving citizen with scraps, not all is bad but one is enough....you need so many good thing to make something awesome but you only need bad and you will get a basket of contaminated goods without fail...
come back to the topic, we should work from home, only a small office for a certain department or team, for annual meeting or monthly face to face meeting-greeting, a space to allow interaction for purpose or product, depends on the nature of business, by changing the way we work or interact or maybe Operation System, not only it lighten the expenses of the company but also we make things more essentials and fully utilize
i have been thinking about the good and bad, but nothing is perfect but we we can make it better
by having more people working remotely from home without the need to travel a lot, if each office cut down 20-30% of people coming into office, it actually help loosen up the traffic and lower down the emission of carbon, less driver on the road, lesser the pollution? not only that, but it also allow parents to have more time with their kids, i would say children to school are still very much encourage to do so, because we would like them to interact with one another, build-up social responsibility etc.
with parents working from home, they can have the kids pick up by professional driver and let the children come back home to healthy home cook food, housewives can spend time doing things they are happy, working from home, isn't that bad so long they have a good workspace for them to perform their tasks.
maybe in the future, the work place can be smaller, we dont need to build so many new sky scrapper we just have to reuse and revamp the old building, give them a whole new purpose, wont it be amazing that way so we won't overdevelop this planet, why bulldoze a forest just to build a "green" house, we are good at wasting and sucks and fixing stuff, because new are always cheaper than old, if people can fix thing at a cheaper rate who would like to spend that much kan~
maybe i should look into way and advises to reduce and reuse... even for spaces
